Escaldes-Engordany, 01 July 2021.
The Fábrica Reig Museum is the chosen venue for the temporary exhibition of Castell de Peralada Festival posters, which have been the banner for each edition of the festival since its inception 35 years ago. There will be 30 posters on display at the museum from Thursday 1 July until 26 September 2021, with the collaboration of Andbank and the Julià Reig Foundation.
With the title “Dialogues between music and art in Peralada”, the exhibition brings together all the Festival’s posters for the first time, which were commissioned from renowned domestic and international figures in the fine arts, including artists such as Jaume Plensa, Perico Pastor and Peter Welz. The exhibition has 30 posters, as the festival’s representative, Oriol Aguilà, explains, because none were made until the sixth year.
The Castell de Peralada Festival has established itself as one of the top cultural events of the summer, as well as a space that generates new artistic ideas and has fostered a close bond between music and art, offering a showcase for artists and creators to develop unique and alternative projects.
This exhibition is thanks in part to the collaboration of Andbank, which in turn is celebrating its 90th anniversary this year. The cultural event was held in the presence of Sílvia Riva, the Minister of Culture, the Chairwoman of the Julià Reig Foundation, Déborah Ribas, the Spanish ambassador, Angel Ros and the Festival representative Oriol Aguilà, among other authorities and attendees.
Déborah Ribas remarked that they welcome the exhibition with great joy, as it is “a way of returning to normality”. The deputy general manager of Banca País at Andbank, Josep Maria Cabanes, referred to the fantastic setting of the museum, which “forms part of Andorra’s political and economic history”. Cabanes also reminded us that the organisation has been involved with the Castell de Peralada Festival for many years.
