The board of the Andbank Group has asked the financial sector supervisor in Andorra (INAF) to authorize the appointment of Antonio Castro as the new Deputy General Manager of Corporate Services. The appointment is part of the internationalization process that the Group began in 2008.
With this addition, Andbank is reinforcing its commitment to recruiting the top talent and professionals, one of the main objectives of the Group’s strategic plan.
Castro is a government lawyer and has a long professional career. His time in the private sector includes a period when he formed part of the Barclays Group, where he held various executive positions, including Secretary General and Regulatory Affairs Officer for Europe. He was also CEO at Barclays Spain, a position from which he coordinated the transfer of commercial banking business from the British group to La Caixa. He has a law degree from ICADE and has completed post-graduate studies at IESE-Harvard and the University of Cambridge.
