José Caturla will strengthen the group’s wealth management division

Andbank, an international group specialising in private banking, has recruited José Caturla as Director of Global Asset Management at the Group. Caturla will strengthen the bank’s wealth management division from this newly created position, taking advantage of the synergies generated between the countries in which the firm is present. Andbank, which has nearly 22 billion assets under management in 11 countries, plans to use the recruitment of Caturla to boost its Sigma Investment House investment fund range in Luxembourg.
Located in Madrid, Caturla will supervise and promote Asset Management business in the countries in which Andbank operates, both in Europe and in Latin America.
José Caturla has more than three decades of experience at top-level insurance and asset management firms. He comes from Altamar, a company he will continue to be linked to as director of the Private Debt subsidiary, and where he held the position of Head of Insurance and Pension Funds Solutions over the last year.
He previously worked at Aviva, a group he was part of for nearly 15 years (2002-2017) as Corporate Investment Director of the group and as CEO of Aviva Gestión SGIIC. He was in charge of Aviva’s investments in Spain during that period, participating in various international positions at the group.
Prior to his time at Aviva, Caturla worked at Plus Ultra Cía Seguros y Reaseguros for nearly 10 years (1991-2002) as an Investment Manager and then as Deputy General Manager of Investments.
Jose Caturla Vicente holds an engineering degree in Mining from ETSIM Madrid and an MBA in Finance from the City Business School of London. His appointment is part of Andbank’s plan to continue strengthening and promoting its team, using professionals with considerable professional experience in the international arena and a high level of specialisation in the financial and asset management sector.
